At the Queen Inn you will not see large lists of dishes on our menu, we believe in smaller but varied menus allowing the quality and cooking of our food do the talking
Cumbria has some of the finest produce anywhere in Britain, the slow food revolution is alive and well in this beautiful county.
You can be assured that the dishes you are enjoying will have a small environmental footprint.
Venison and other game from the surrounding estate, Salmon (when available) from the River Eden, Beef and Pork from the valley and of course the wonderful and righty famous Cumbrian Lamb raised on the fells that surround this county.
Real Ales At The Queen Inn
Cumbria is also well served when it comes to Real Ales, the county had at the last count more than 26 small breweries producing an excellent range of beers (and more in the pipeline). In Great Corby we have a brewery just accross the village green from The Queen Inn. Perhaps, if you are enjoying an al fresco summer drink on the tables overlooking the village green you may see the brewer rolling a barrel over to us, it does not get much more local than that.
At the Queen Inn we only keep Real Ales brewed in Cumbria with a ever changing selection of beers displayed on a blackboard on the bar
